1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa
“Porsche is quite un¬like driving anything else in the world. It's that simple. For almost 30 years Porsche has been building rear-engined sports and GT cars that were utterly unique in their own time. They have looked and felt differ¬ent than other cars, but more important, they have been distinctly and memorably different in the way they went down the road. The new 911 SC is faithful to that tradition.” -Caranddriver 1978
This 1978 Porsche 911 SC Targa is featured in a black exterior with a black leather interior. Completely refreshed by Autobahn Performance less than 1000 miles ago, the driving experience in this 911 feels as if it just left the showroom floor. This Porsche 911 SC went through a bare metal respray as well as a complete engine and drivetrain rebuild. The two-stage black paint was laid over a rust free body and worked to a mirror like finish. The interior was addressed to the same level of detail with nicely reupholstered leather seats, new carpets and a crack free dash.
The 3.0 liter flat 6-cylinder motor comes to a quick start, runs smoothly, and pulls through the entire gear range with ease while leaving the driver to enjoy the sound of the engine only an air-cooled Porsche can provide.
